Email Vendor Guide Update
Here’s a quick update on the Vendor Guide status;
Right now I’m running about two weeks behind, which will put the release date out to mid February. There isn’t anything technical holding it up; it’s just a time thing. About 30% of the content has been written out; the rest is in my head, but my head has been buried in other work and I’ve fallen behind.
But that doesn’t mean that I can’t share a little bit; I mean it, just a little….
Here’s how the participants were selected.
The participants were identified from the author’s hands-on experience with several of the tools, from vendor evaluations conducted by the author on behalf of end-user clients, from US market presence, and from active Industry participation.
All participants in this Guide support their own email deployment tools. While several vendors leverage OEM products and services such as commercial MTAs, no white-label services of other turn-key products are included. Vendor revenue was not taken into consideration, nor was the size or revenue of vendor clients.
So who’s in?
- AllWebEmail
- BlueHornet
- Bronto
- Cooler Email
- e-Dialog
- Eloqua

- MailChimp

There are still a few stragglers and some late additions, but the Guide is formatted to easily adjust.
I’m also adding a small section of complementary product vendors that so far includes:
- Email Data Source
- LashBack

- Return Path
Okay, that’s all you get to see for now….

Nice tease Caldwell. I’m still biting my nails for the release!!
Is that because you’ve seen under the hood?
I’ll be interested to see what your thoughts are on all of the vendors you listed above (particularly my ESP). If you need any help finishing up the guide, let me know!
How many of these vendors had to subscribe to your services to get included in this guide? Oh wait..this is an independent guide.
Can’t wait to see it dude.
John – I’m sitting on the edge of my seat for this guide! It’ll be great to be able to read all the offerings the above ESP’s provide. Best of all, this is going to be a completely unbiased guide, unlike the others… Enough teasing already. POST IT.
